Q: What brings you to eToro?
A: I manage other traders’ accounts along with my own personal account. I was used to trading for my clients on a few different platforms but wasn’t too happy so I decided to search for a new broker to transfer my portfolio to.
Q: How many clients do you currently trade for?
A: 14.
Q: What is the size of your managed portfolio at the moment?
A: 2.4 Million dollars.
Q: What does it take to become your client?
A: You can ask your account manager to forward your contact details to me and I’ll gladly contact you and discuss this in more depth.
Q: Why did you choose eToro?
A: I like the client support. I have a great account manager, who is going the extra mile to help me in every possible way. It is very easy to withdraw money from my eToro account via debit card. I am also very impressed with eToro’s policy to compensate losses related to software failures.
Q: How did you hear about eToro?
A: Internet research.
Q: What do you love the most about eToro?
A: Chat is the greatest feature, especially on quiet days. I don’t really participate, but I always read it.
Q: Have you traded with other brokers in the past? And if so please compare them to eToro.
A: Yes, I have. I found withdrawal procedures more difficult there and no compensation for platform failures.
Q: What is the most important lesson you learned about trading so far?
A: Know what the market can give you and don’t aim for anything more. Be realistic. Patience is the biggest virtue.
Q: What is the most important tip you can give a novice traders?
A: Again, be realistic. Use low leverage.
Q: Please give me a general description about your trading technique/strategy?
A: I work with three charts of the same pair. On the daily chart the price should be above the 200, 100 and 50 period moving average, on the hourly chart pair should be oversold and should be approaching a 50 percent Fibonacci retracement support level. On the five minute chart there should be a 10-period EMA crossed above a 40-period EMA.
Q: What is your number one trading rule?
A: Logic wins, impulse kills, but what is mathematically optimal is often psychologically impossible.
Q: How did you learn to trade (alone/books/course/eToro/AM/magazine/over the net)?
A: University course and constant learning- reading, webinars, etc.
Q: Do you use signals? If yes, what kind? If not, why and did you use them in the past?
A: No. Forex needs quick reactions. That’s why I don’t think it is possible for signals to work consistently.
Q: Your message to the eToro’s community:
A: Enjoy your trading!
